THE BJZ

what! where are all my words that i just now typed in?!
i hate blogspot~~~that's why i haven't been here for a long time. the editing page is nerd.
anyway, not to abondon here because i like my designed personalised background.
I need to record something happened recently. My new organization BJZ.
actually it is not any formal organization but just we ourself named it as BJZ. it stands for baijiazi, or simply wasting. As Yakun strongly opposed to use the full name so that we can keep down our "infamous reputation", i will just use the all-known shortform for it.

The most recently meeting should be Richard's birthday. We spent more than $160 for our dinner but this is not enough...All of us were too excited to go back home after dinner so that we all finally crowded to the Lash Miller's library. With poker, we managed to play the killer game until 4 am. That was crazy.

Richard and me in the restaurant that the BJZ goes there every week
I had to admit after a long time that...I look like a fox?!
I love this shelf in Lash Miller...and I don't suppose to take pictures in the serious place but...I couldn't help taking not only one...but many
I am now in the New College Computer lab. I just received Ziwei's phone call that the swimming plan was cancelled due to her flu. Accidently, i caught flu as well and had a running nose at the moment. The weather is not as good as last week. But tragically i hided in library for the entire last week to prepare the eco209 termtest. It was amazingly easy and i regretted to study for it. I miss the nice weather last week...The sun, please come back.
PS I am now checking greek words for richard at the moment.
so...i'll try to return to this freaking annoying blog sometime in the future when I am brave enough to preparing losing what I have just typed in so much.

A new nest

I have to admit that I need to try my best to adjust the cold whether here. It is not an esay matter if you migrate from the Equator to Toronto, which I surprisedly did. Nevertheless, I found a less hectic life here. Instead of saying enjoyment, I lost the direction in my life rather. I just finished handful of math133 homework that might be due next month. I won't change my lif style to Canadian or American, i still adhere to my old customs. Anyway, I decided to abondon the time-consuming CCA. I hate it.

Though, i need to ask myself contiuouslly, what is in front of me? Ok, speaking in a simple way, what am I doing now? This is a question that puzzled me for centuries. After 9 months of slackness, it's not amazed to find my English level decresed at an amazing rate should I stay in school. There are always many things that bundle me in my mind. I was busy. Really busy.

Sigh...

So sorry for the mumbling here. I was an idot in front of the thousands of freshness. If I were at a crossing in a jungle, I might die of hunger. I was wise to choose not be enrolled into psychology. I can forsee my future to be a Psycho if I finished the program. No, I'm not joking. I'm afraid of any pressure especially when it comes from other people. I believe everyone shares a dark conner in his/her brain. It only depends on the stimulation and time for it to be made appeared. For me, it's too easily stimulated that I fear of it coming out immediately after my graduation.
Nagging, Nagging Nagging...

I miss the sun there in the Equator.

If I were a bird, this would be my new Sun, my new nest.

As usual, posting one picture to show that I am still alive.

the first snow in Beijing 2009

I think it's been 2 years that i didn't have chance to see snow in China. It snowed very heavily in early 2008 in southern China but i missed the time. i was in Singapore already.

This was taken in Prince Gong’s Palace. (恭王府). It was heard that the whole palace was for Heshen (和珅), a notorious minister in Qing Dynasty. He was a typical corruptional minister. Heshen's total pocession was 630 billion RMB. He was far richer than Bill Gates and should be the richest man in the history. Anyway, he was arrested at last by emporor Jiaqing and all his pocession was confisticated.

This was taken in the back yard of the palace. I was really surprised that this garden is even bigger and prettier than the emporer's garden in the Forbidden City...

still in the same palace...i love the peaceful and silent atmosphere there.

Happy Chinese New Year~

It is the first time for me to spend my Chinese New Year in China since I go to Singapore in 2004. The atmosphere is still familiar. Actually Chinese New Year is not only the Jan 1st in Lunar Year, but it extends to the 15th Jan. Chinese people regards this day as the last day of Chinese New Year period. Although most store owners went back to their hometowns to celebrate the CNY with their families, it is still very crowded in many supermarkets and restaurants. I spent the CNY eve in my nanny's home and watch the notorious CNY programs. Why is it notorious? In China, the CNY evening program is always reproached by people every year for its fake singing and many boring programs...anyway, i think most people still choosing to watch it on CNY eve.

I just recieved a New Year card from a friend in Osaka Japan. She's learning arts and cartoon there. So she made this card by herself~ it is a very dedicated card~nice~
It is not the first time that i saw a letter from Japan as my mom has Japanese friend, but it's the first time i recieved a Japan letter from a friend of mine.
P.S. 2.14 is coming soon, what's your plan?

I'm back!

I once had the thought to abondon here since I have another Chinese blog in sina recently. Anyway, i'm back now. I think here is still one of my "HOME". I enjoy the atmosphere here. Just finish my US application last month. It was a very awful experience. I don't dare to try another one in the future. I can't remember how many essays i wrote in half a month. YEEEEE, so annoying...

I just came back from Xi'an during the New Year holidays. share with u my photos there~~~

omg, the photo changes its shape when i upload it here...anyway, it's the tower of Buddha. It's a 13-storey tower which is perhaps the highest one in the world.

outside the temple. oh, share with you an interesting instrument, the instrument below is made of coconut... how amazing!

it's very troublesome to upload pictures here. i have more pictures on my Chinese blog: http://blog.sina.com.cn/jingyizhao i'll try to make here a funny place~~~~lol~

Winter Story

It is a long time since i blogged last time... These days are so busy with all the BT and H3 exams. The only thing I did besides mugging for BT during the March holiday is to buy a new CD which I longed to have it for quite a long time. This is a CD by a Japanese who is a music talent. I had her second CD--Spring of Life last year during Promos. Her music is really very fantastic which i think is also magic... How? I listened to her music during my preparation for Promos and I found myself very efficient and concentrated when mugging and finally, got a satisfied 4 As for my Promo... So I believe that this new CD--Winter Story is also as magic as the previous one!
Her music is solely light music with different instruments. The main instrument is piano. Very soothing and quiet. My roommate likes it also.

This is the cover and inside of Spring of Life, the colour is so nice and i like the design alot!~

This is the Winter Story, which i heard that it won many prize after releasing. Zhang Qi (My roommate) says that she loves this one better as the cover of the CD is red--her favourite colour... hahax` anyway, I like both of these CDs, good songs and beautiful designs. There is also a paragraph of words dedicated to every single song in the CD, they are all quite meaningful and reflects the moral behind the songs.

Tomorrow is my first H3 test, so I hope I can get a good grade~

My frist day of the Mar Hol

Term 1 finally comes to an end... but~~ I don't feel relaxed. There are still many things to do. Last Sat, when everyone was 'celebrating' the start of the March Holiday, i was on the way to SMU for H3 course...The worst thing was that I forgot to bring my wallet with me and I cannot enter SMU without my student card... So I was very sian and while waiting for my friend to come to SAVE me, i took some pictures of the SMU School of Economics, the building is very near to the new Cathay on orchard road (behind Plaza Singapora)

Not surprisingly, I was found using my friend's card to enter into SMU and caught by the stupid guard! She's so irratating... but anyway, I entered the classroom finally.

Our professor was late again! Amazing, he told us that every Sat. morning, he will get up at 4:30 in the morning to run 28km... Crazy guy. No wonder every time he gives us a lesson his voice is always tiring and nearly dead~He also said that he took part in the 'Iron Man' competition for several times, which is a 4km swimming, 140km cycling and 48km running. I'm wondering he can do that... hahax, anyway, his word surprised all of us. Yeah, that's what happened on my first day of Mar holiday, very sui~

My Angel and Mortal is the same person!

My Valentine’s Day was a very very very very surprising day!!!!!! ---I found out that My Angel and My Mortal is the SAME PERSON…

I didn’t know this until this morning when I approached my mortal Chen Tong, coz I was going to give him the gift… but then he turned out to say that actually he is my angel also!~ Wow, I was greatly surprised by that!~ this kind of thing may happen, but the chance is only…let me calculate, there are 26 people in my class and 26 people in my angel+mortal’s class, so the chance of me getting a mortal is 1/26, and the chance of me getting the same person as my angel is also 1/26. so combine together, the probability of getting same person as both angel and mortal is (1/26)*(1/26)=1/676…that means out of 676 combinations, I get this chance to have an angel and mortal who is the same person… Hope I got the math correct. Anyway, this is really rare and surprising. Though like that, my angel+mortal and me still write a lot of letters during the past one month and we really have fun with each other…

these are the letters that my angel+mortal wrote to me in the past one month

my angel+mortal is very good at drawing

Although Chen Tong already knew that I am both his angel and mortal, as he said that he knew this from the letter I wrote to him…( wondering y I didn’t notice that!!!) yeah, but then he still sent me 2 gifts!!! He’s so good and I can see that he made a lot of effort in preparing the gift for me!
This is one of the gift my angel+mortal gave me:

The mouse will give out sound like 'jiji' when u put a coin into the bank box inside its body

this is another gift, very cute

My angel+mortal is very good and he made the cards by himself, very pro cards!

inside of the card...

this is another postcard he made for me

So, this Valentine’s Day is the most meaningful and surprising one I’ve ever had!

Happy Valentine's Day!

My trip to Yunnan Part II

Finally got the time to update my Yunnan trip:)The next day, we were still inside the Lijiang Ancient Village to just walk around. The scene during daytime is quite different from that at night. We took some pictures but felt very cold…as a result, I spent the rest of my day in a KFC inside the ancient village. That’s quite disappointed.

After Lijiang, we went back to Dali for accommodation. Since there’s no activities organized by the tour package company, we just spent our time to go up to a Square called Mingzhu Square. On top of that mountain, we can clearly see the whole Dali, very beautiful at night.

Look, this is the airplane we got up to go Banna!!
Banna has a very high temperature, even can reach 20+ degrees at noon, so this is the first time I can wear that little clothes during winter time. The main people in Banna is the Dai People. The Dai girls are all very beautiful and slim. They have biiiiiiiiig eyes with looooooooooong eyelashes. Ok, back to the scene.. this is the ancient forest in Banna which is really natural.
This special tree is given a beautiful name: Peacock trees. It really looks like a peacock with long tail.
This is also in the forest where we saw the performance of some animals. They are so cute and did fantastic job!!

Actually there’s not much to say to describe what is in Banna as there was just very natural forest everywhere. The most thing I like in Banna is the hotel we stayed in, it’s very comfortable and unique in design. Compare to other cities, I still like Dali and Lijing the most.
Ok, that’s end of my Yunnan trip, quite a meaningful trip as this is the first time I travel outside for that long and with my mom. One disappointment is that my dad’s so busy that he can’t go with us :(
One more thing about this trip is that I took 600+ pictures…I’m still wondering how can I do so. A memory in my 18th year.

My trip to Yunnan part 1

Wow, just come back from Yunnan with my mom. a very beautiful place in southwest China. i went 4 cities in Yunnan called Kunming, the capital; Dali, the place where 天龙八部was filmed; Lijiang, the ancient city; and finally Xishuang Banna, where i saw very beautiful forest. i took altogether 10 days there and travelled many many kilometers from Beijing to Yunnan...although tired but i feel very happy. I became darker with the sun in Yunnan...the sun ray there is too strong!!!

My 1st day
after reaching Kunming, i spent my 1st night in the hotel...though Yunnan is very warm, but there's no heater in the room so it is quite cold inside, we turned on the air-con to 30 degrees to get some heat...

2nd day
very early on the 2nd day, we went to Shilin, the stone forest in Kunming. All the stones looks like growing from the ground, just like trees, and there are thousands and thousands stones, of different shapes. some of them also has stories behind. this picture was taken on the highest point of the stone forest, where we could see almost all stones in the park.

This strange word is the Chinese of stone forest, there were so many people want to take pictrue with it, very crowded.

Hahax, guess who is this? it's me!!! I was wearing the traditional costume of the Yi People (彝族), I like it very much.
in the afternoon, we went to a tea house to drink some famous tea in Yunnan, among them, the most famous one is this, called Pu Er Tea, it was made into a traditional Chinese coin, i took pic with it. I don't even dare to drink this coin, it's so cute!

Hey, look, i became the tea maid!!! actually i am just acting!~

My 3rd day
we reached Dali on the 3rd day and went to the place called 'sky dragon temple', there were 3 huge towers and alot of temples. at the back, it is a huge mountain with clouds around it. what a wonderful picture!!! it's nature that makes it!~
In the afternoon, we went to a lake called the 'Butterfly Lake' where i change to another costume that Bai People (白族) wear. I like their so called hat, it looks so nice! actually it got a very meaningful design, which represents wind, flower, snow and moon in Dali.
they have a poem which is
下关风啊,上关花.
下关的风啊吹着上关的花.
洱海月啊,苍山雪.
洱海的月啊照着苍山的雪.
In the evening, we also visited the Dali ancient town and some of the famous place in Dali, and then i spent my evening with my mom on a huge ship on Er Hai.
My 4th day,
early in the moring, we went to the beautiful Lijiang ancient city by bus. the first thing appears when we reached Lijiang was the snow mountain. it is called the 'Yu Long Xue Shan' (Jade Dragon Snow Mountain). We took alot of pic with it becoz this is the first time i saw a snow mountain in my life!!!~ also my mom's first time!

And very fast it was night already, so we walked in the Lijiang Ancient City, it has a street called the 'bar street', i like it alot. See the cloth on my shoulder? it's a kind of costume in Lijiang called 披肩, something for you to cover ur shoulders. mine was given by the hotel, it fits me exactly becoz I like purple!

therefore, nearly half of my trip past. I miss all the place i went. Since the trip is so so so so long, i cant tell you at one time, too tired typing and organising, there are still millions of stories but i'm afraid there's no space for them. wait for the next time to tell you! so hope you can come to read my diary next time for the other part of my Yunnan Trip! Bye~
